Looks like 33's?

Kinja'd!!!

Stock height, stock tires. Close to flexed out with sway bar connected, rear still has some travel. Eventually this will get more height and more tire, but it does pretty well for now.

31's. I wanted to go further, but with the tire up in the wheel well like that the LSD in the rear was sending all the power to the left. I need to find something better to climb, and not in wet grass. So obviously I need more lift and bigger tires, right?

Nice Jeep! Always had a soft spot for the Comanche.

Mm. I forget the MJ’s rear wheel wells are bigger than the XJ’s. The front is actually the limit, at about a 32" diameter on factory offset wheels.

Ideally 32" is what I’d want, coupled with a small lift, three inches at most, but I also want tires I can run year-round, which severely limits my options. The Grabber AT2's I have right now are great for cheap, but they don’t come in a 10.5" width, which is as wide as I’d be comfortable going on a factory wheel. The KO2 comes in a 33x10.5, which may be what I go with, but we have them on the trucks at work and with our gravel roads they like to hang onto stones until they get pushed through the tire so I’m hesitant about them. Other than those two I don’t think I’ve found other AT’s with a winter rating.

FYI I mounted some 33x12.5 on an old stock wheel and the tire was hitting the leaf spring before the wheel got secured. So that was a waste.

The MJ’s springs are a bit further inboard than the XJ’s. But I definitely wouldn’t want to go to a 12.5" wide tire on a 7" wheel. That would be foolhardy.

Oh yeah, that was just to see if they’d even fit, with some worn out tires and old rims that could go to the junkyard.
